Bio Travis

Travis Sample

A fitness junkie committed to improving the health and wellness of others, Travis Sample is the face of S.A.M.P.L.E. Fitness. Travis has served as a personal trainer and group instructor for more than five years, touching an assortment of people – each with different fitness goals but sharing a common end result of satisfaction with Travis’ infectious motivational style. Travis has worked with athletes ranging from peewees and high school players to collegians and aspiring pros. He has helped a number of his athletes advance to nationally acclaimed schools and prominent professional franchises, and has continued to train those players throughout their careers. Travis’ clientele spans the full spectrum of fitness profiles, comprising young adults trying to stay in shape, older adults looking to get back into shape, hardwired fitness crazies fighting to break personal barriers and exercise rookies just hoping to get off the mat. Travis possesses a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is CPR/AED certified.


Bio EvanEvan Williams

Evan has co-trained with Travis for the past three years in dozens of county-wide programs, ranging from community wellness initiatives to youth fitness and sports team training. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and certified group fitness instructor by the American Council on Exercise, specializing in sports performance and kids fitness. In conjunction with his training, Evan has worked at Excel Orthopedic Rehab, a physical therapy practice focusing on sports injury rehabilitation. Evan graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a B.S. in broadcast journalism (Newhouse School) and a minor in sport management (David Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics). A fixture in sports media at the school, he hosted a regionally-syndicated postgame show following Syracuse football, basketball and lacrosse games, and produced both promotional and informational video content for SU athletics. Evan’s coverage of college basketball has appeared regularly on SI.com, Sports Illustrated’s online presence. Evan remains actively involved in multiple facets of the sport industry. He holds current First Aid and CPR/AED certificates.
